Transport

    On your flight arrival day (Day 1 of the tour), we'll meet you at Rome-Fiumicino Airport, and take you to the hotel in L'Aquila. Optionally, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Rome (if you are staying there already). According to group size, you'll travel by fully-equipped and air-conditioned buses or vans during scheduled excursions.

    For your days "at leisure", we will be happy to assist you in renting cars, taking buses or trains etc. Car rental fees depend on the model, but usually the cost is about Euros 60/70 per day for a small/medium car (unlimited mileage), plus gas (that is more expensive than in the US). It may be difficult to rent an automatic car, since they are rarely used in Italy, but should you have interest in one, please inform us at your earliest convenience.

    Finally, at the end of the tour, we'll take you to a Rome hotel, centrally located. On the following day (Monday) you may get a train or a taxi to the airport. If you would instead prefer to stay in Abruzzo for further research or visits, or reach other places in Italy and would be interested in help with booking and itineraries, we can give you suggestions and offer our help.
